designed to build confidence and selfesteemin ALL girls as they approach
and go through the teen years. If you
are looking for an all around program
that covers complete personal
development, this is the program for
you. Girls receive a thorough
introduction to the world of fashion,
style, personal grooming, modeling,
etiquette and modern manners.
Fashion Workshop includes a variety
of hands-on activities and interactive
role-playing, making learning fun and
enjoyable. Girls are grouped according
to age (11-13 and 14-16) within the
class. All instruction is age-appropriate
with specific attention being given to
help each camper identify her own
personal sense of style.

HEALTH & FITNESS
As girls approach and go through their teen years, a healthy balanced
diet will provide increased energy
and promote good health. Fashion
Workshop campers discuss
nutrition with our Camp
Nutritionist, Maggie Meyer, and
learn how to eat sensibly while
still enjoying what they eat.

Our emphasis is strictly on a healthy
diet and healthy living.
TEEN FITNESS WORKOUT
Active Duty Fitness for Women will teach
campers how to properly tone and exercise.
The ‘teen workout’ addresses all components
of fitness: cardiovascular, strength, flexibility
and posture. The focus is on making exercise
fun and encouraging camaraderie and team
spirit.

SOCIAL GRACES & ETIQUETTE
Every young lady should have ‘model manners’.
First impressions are important and the way
you communicate, sit, talk and walk say a lot
about you to others. Campers learn how to
present themselves with poise, elegance and
confidence. Topics covered, include
babysitting, table manners, introductions,
interviews, posture, public speaking,
restaurant manners, school etiquette,
telephone etiquette, cell phone manners, good
vocal skills and letter writing. Learn how to
leave a lasting and memorable impression!

“FACE FORWARD” SKIN CARE
Your face is your windshield to the world
and taking care of it now will result in
healthy skin later in life. Campers learn
how to identify their own skin type, how
to implement and follow a regular skin care
routine and how to take care of common
skin problems.

MAKE-UP FOR TEENS
Fashion Workshop campers are given instruction in how to properly apply an
appropriate amount of make-up by a
professional make-up artist. Learn how
to enhance your good features and
camouflage your not-so-perfect ones. Learn
the latest trends in make-up, which colors
work best for you, how to create smoky eyes
and all the industry secrets. This is also a
great way to learn basic cosmetic principles
even if you are not yet wearing make-up.
Parents: Please note that all make-up
instruction is age-appropriate. The Modeling Camp message is that girls should look natural and never overly made up! Optional Modeling Camp make-up kits are available for purchase.

HAIR STYLING
Are you hopeless at styling your hair? With the right tools and some inside secrets
from our camp hair stylist, you’ll be able to tame frizzy hair, boost lifeless hair and/or create a
whole new “do”. Find out which hairstyle most flatters your face shape and learn how to keep your hair healthy and shiny. Learn which products work and

you should toss! Get great hairstyling ideas from formal “up-dos” to casual everyday styles.

Every young lady should keep her nails

Girls are given affordable ideas on how to organize their closets to allow for maximum storage space. Eliminate that huge pile of clothes from your closet floor! Learn how to get organized so you can find anything, anytime!
FASHION 'CENTS'
This popular workshop shows campers
how to turn old clothes and accessories in
to new ‘superstylin’ creations! Turn old
jeans in to a new skirt or a cool back-pack.
Revamp an old t-shirt in to a trendy new

FASHION CHALLENGE
Face the Modeling Camp Challenge and
help your team put together as many
outfits as possible from the Modeling
Camp mystery wardrobe! Let your creativity
and imagination run wild….will your
team win the challenge?
FASHION AND YOU!
Celebrate your own unique style and
create your own fashion profile. Campers
learn how to be well presented at all
times. Learn how to pick fashions that
flatter your figure, fabrics that work with
your body shape and designs that
compliment you. Bring in a fashion
magazine, build a collage and express your
interpretation of what style is about!

PHOTO SHOOT:
LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION!
Have you ever wondered what it feels like to
be a real fashion model? If so, then come to
Fashion Workshop and stand under the studio
lights as we guide you through a series of
poses at your own personal photo shoot with a
professional photographer. This can be a great
way to start a modeling portfolio or, you can
simply enjoy this exciting opportunity to get
great pictures for yourself, your family and
friends – Modeling Camp memories captured
for a lifetime!
Parents: Please note that prints are
NOT included in the session fee but
will be available for purchase at the
private photo review appointments
which are held after the camp session.
FASHION SHOW:
IT’S SHOW TIME!
Throughout the week, Fashion Workshop
campers will receive an introduction to
runway modeling and will be taught the basic
walk and turns. All campers will have the
opportunity to participate in our graduation
fashion show on the last day of camp. This
exciting event is a wonderful way to say
goodbye to our campers as they walk down
the runway with confidence and style. |
